Our busiest season is here! Summer at First Tee – West Michigan is in full swing, and our interns
have jumped right into the action. From coaching classes and capturing unforgettable moments to supporting events and helping programs run behind the scenes, they’re making an impact every day. We are so grateful to have them on our team this summer.

Catherine Lehner | Programming & Event Intern – Grand Rapids
What are you most excited for during this internship with First Tee?
“I am so excited to meet new people, build relationships with participants, and help make First Tee
a fun and positive experience. I’m also looking forward to learning more about coaching and event
operations throughout the summer.”
What golf course is at the top of your bucket list to play?
Waters Edge Golf Club just because I am super excited to do my marathon there!
What’s your favorite thing to do outside of work and school?
I enjoy spending time with friends and family, being outside whenever I get the chance to, and
staying active whether that’s golfing, going on walks, or being by the pool all day in the summer!
What’s one fun fact about yourself?
Although I grew up in Michigan, I was born in Moscow, Russia!
Emily Schelling | Marketing & Communications Intern
What are you most excited for during this internship with First Tee?
“To learn and connect with new people! I am very excited about the opportunity to learn new
things in the world of marketing/communications for such a great company that has such a
meaningful mission.”
What golf course is at the top of your bucket list to play?
Crystal Downs Country Club.
What’s your favorite thing to do outside of work and school?
Go on walks, cook new recipes, and try new restaurants.
What’s one fun fact about yourself?
I used to be a cheerleader and can do 10 back handsprings in a row!
Hank Roebuck | Programming Intern – Holland
What are you most excited for during this internship with First Tee?
“I am excited to give back to the community and form relationships with kids all around Wes
Michigan.”
What golf course is at the top of your bucket list to play?
Cypress Point.
What’s your favorite thing to do outside of work and school?
Running.
What’s one fun fact about yourself?
I have perfect pitch.
Bradley Lardie | Program Event Intern
What are you most excited for during this internship with First Tee?
“Continuing to build relationships with FTWM marathoners, giving back to a program that gave me
so much.”
What golf course is at the top of your bucket list to play?
Arcadia Bluffs or Crystal Downs.
What’s your favorite thing to do outside of work and school?
Disk golf, go out with my girlfriend, hang with friends.
What’s one fun fact about yourself?
I was one of the first participants in this chapter, I hold the state record for the most holes played in
one day. I’m the student government president of my school.
Grace Piotrowski | Programming & Data Intern
What are you most excited for during this internship with First Tee?
“I’m excited to learn real-world work skills while teaching kids the game of golf and the important
life skills that I gained through First Tee.”

Cascadia Golf Club.
What’s your favorite thing to do outside of work and school?
I love to bake desserts for my family!
What’s one fun fact about yourself?
I can speak Japanese!
Andrea Diemer | Play Nine Intern – Grand Rapids

“Be able to watch kids learn more about golf and grow in their skills!”

Playing pickle ball with friends!

I can list and label every country in the world.
