Marketing & Communications Internship (Grand Rapids, MI)
The Marketing & Communications Intern will assist the Marketing & Communications Coordinator in the day-to-day execution of marketing and communication initiatives. This role offers hands-on experience across digital marketing, social media, storytelling, email marketing, event support, and market research.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, creative, and excited about both golf and youth development. This role includes both desk-based marketing work and on-site involvement in fundraising events and youth programming. This internship is ideal for someone who enjoys creating content, telling stories, and developing fresh, engaging ways to highlight our participants, coaches, donors, and programs.
Golf & Life Skills Program Internship (Holland, MI)
The Golf & Life Skills Program Intern will report directly to the Program Coordinator. Inspired by a genuine passion for empowering and helping youth succeed in life, they will work diligently to promote and expand First Tee programs in Holland. The Golf & Life Skills Program Intern will lead weekly golf and life skills programs, and promote First Tee in schools, churches, job fairs and other community events, in addition to planning, preparing, implementing, and supporting all First Tee-West Michigan events.
The ideal candidate has outstanding administrative, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, a love for working with participants ages 7-17 (and their parents), and a basic understanding of the game of golf.
Summer Program Internship (Grand Rapids, MI)
The Grand Rapids Program Intern will report directly to the Program Director. Inspired by a genuine passion for empowering and helping youth succeed in life, s/he will work diligently to promote and expand First Tee programs in Grand Rapids. The Program Intern will help with program implementation and support the overall strategic and operational plan for First Tee – West Michigan in Grand Rapids. This position will coach sessions with students 3-4 days per week, including some Saturdays.
The ideal candidate has outstanding administrative, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, strong affinity for golf and the golf community, and an interest in working with participants ages 7-17 (and their parents).
Coaching Internship (Holland, MI)
The Coaching Intern will report directly to the Program Coordinator. Inspired by a genuine passion for empowering and helping youth succeed in life, s/he will work diligently to promote and expand First Tee programs in Holland. The Coaching Intern will lead weekly golf and life skills programs.
The ideal candidate has outstanding communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, a love for working with participants ages 7-17 (and their parents), and a basic understanding of the game of golf.
Play 9 Internship (Grand Rapids, MI)
Spring, Summer & Fall Internships Available
The Play 9 Intern will facilitate 2–3 on-course or simulator 9 hole sessions per week with a small group of kids in the Grand Rapids area. This role is ideal for someone passionate about youth development and is comfortable leading small groups of participants on a golf course. We may also have opportunities for additional coaching and administrative hours.
Coaching Internship (Muskegon, MI)
We are seeking a Golf & Life Skills Coaching Intern to lead and supervise youth programming at local golf courses in the Muskegon area. This role involves coaching youth (ages 7-17), managing volunteers, and overseeing program operations to ensure a positive, educational experience for participants.
Fall Program Internship (Grand Rapids, MI)
The Grand Rapids Program Intern will report directly to the Program Director. Inspired by a genuine passion for empowering and helping youth succeed in life, s/he will work diligently to promote and expand First Tee programs in Grand Rapids. The Program Intern will help with program implementation and support the overall strategic and operational plan for First Tee – West Michigan in Grand Rapids. This position will coach sessions with students 2-3 days per week, including Saturdays. Must be available to work evening hours from 3-8pm.
